Food Tour

So Shea, Sha and myself had a mini food tour experience last night. Let's recap:

So I'm looking on Twitter and realized that the infamous Kogi Taco Truck was going to be in Rowland Heights. What great timing because I was going out to C-town anyways to go hang w/ Sha. We talked about it and decided to go check this taco truck out and see what the hype was about. So we had to plan our meal(s) accordingly since it was rumored to be a long wait for these tacos. Sha came up w/ the idea to go eat ramen beforehand so we don't starve ourselves. We text Shea to join us and he was totally down for it.

We start our night by heading to Ajisan? Ajisen? Ramen off Fullerton Rd in Rowland Heights. Sha and Shea were hyping this place up like crazy and it did not disappoint! I ordered the Spicy Pork Ramen and oh man, pork never tasted sooo good. Everything was perfect about it; the broth, the pork, the veggies and etc. Not to mention that the service was prompt and courteous. Ajisen FTW!

After our 1st round of grub, we headed over to Nogales and Daisetta for the Kogi experience. We got there around 9:45p and the line was already 75-100 ppl deep! We were like "wtf?!" So we sucked it up and just waited it out for a bit since we were already there. Luckily, Sha's cousin was near the front of the line and since we're assholes, we decided to cut...lol. Even w/ the cutting, we still waited an hour for these tacos! By the time we got our tacos, it was around 11:20p and we were hoping that the tacos would blow our minds...and that they did (to a certain extent). I have to admit it, the hype around these tacos is well deserved. We all had the beef short rib tacos and it was amazing. Not 1 hr+ waiting amazing, maybe 30 min max amazing...but still good nonetheless. All and all, it was a fun night hanging w/ Shea and Sha and doing the whole Kogi/Ramen food tour. When's the next our guys??????
