Top 5 OC eateries

I mean, the title of the post says it all...so I'll get to it. Feel free to comment on any of these posts and insert your own top 5 whatevers. My top 5 that I'm feeling today and in no particular order:

1. Anjin (Costa Mesa): This place is heaven sent. It is a Japanese grill it yourself restaurant w/ a little bit of Korean flavors in there. Your choices are NY steak, rib eye, short rib beef, scallops, bacon wrapped asparagus and so on and son. Their spicy cold noodles and apple salad are my favorites as well. This place is located on Bristol and Paularino. Hours of operations are from 5p-1a and the wait can be long during peak hours. So if you ever need a late night Japanese BBQ fix, this is the spot for you.

2. California Shabu Shabu (Fountain Valley): I don't remember how I stumbled onto this place, but I'm glad I did. I think I was just looking for a decent shabu shabu place to dine at. From the atmosphere to the hot pots to the udon noodle sauce, this place is awesome. Be weary of going here on either Fri/Sat nights because it will get packed and the wait could be upwards to 45min-1hr. The waiters/waitresses at this place are always cordial and helpful for the newcomers to shabu shabu. Plus this place is in the same plaza as OCGS (used to be Avenue).

3. Roscoe's Deli (Fullerton): I think one of my boys told me about this deli in Fullerton and he rant and raved about it. So you know I had to check it out and to say the least, it did not disappoint. The portions of these sandwiches are huge! They got your basic sandwiches like pastrami, corned beef, turkey, ham and etc, but they're all given a name of some sorts; the titan, fender club, the hornet and so on. A sandwich ususally comes w/ your choice of side and pickle. They also got a bar in the place, so you can chill and have a brew and watch a game in there as well. The spot is on Commonwealth and Harbor and on the same side as Heroes.

4. Zankou Chicken (Anaheim): If you haven't been here, you're sleepin'. Awesome chicken, beef and falafal and everything else. I can't really say much else about this place except that you gotta go try it if you're a hummus, pita, halal kind of guy. Zankou is located on Gilbert and Ball next to Magnolia High School.

5. Kyo Chun (Garden Grove): I think Vivian or my boy Mike put me up on Kyo Chun, or was it Wally? Anyways, their wings are illy! Garli soy or spicy flavor FTW. You can't go wront with either, but just to let you know, the spicy wings will get to you if you eat too many. They have other foods like boneless wings, fried rice and etc, but you go here for wings and wings only. The Kyo Chun in Garden Grove is located in the Korean grocery store located on Beach and Garden Grove. Side note, it's in a food court and the other spots in there are bomb too.
